10 YEARS
On this 10th anniversary, I celebrate the extraordinary woman you were — a mother whose love knew no bounds. 🤍
Over the years, I’ve learnt a few things about grief.
It is not temporary. It is not a feeling that simply goes away. Rather, it is eternal, arriving in many different and ever-changing seasons.
Grief hurts in places that are hard to point to, because the pain in your heart overflows into every other crevice that exists within your body.
Sometimes grief longs to be held, while pushing you away at the very same time. It runs towards both freedom and shelter. It wants to heal, but without ever truly letting go.
Grief lands upon your chest whenever and wherever it chooses. It is bound by neither space, nor time, nor distance. And I can guarantee you, it will always find a way to rise to the surface.
Grief lays its weary head down and waits — for the rain, for the sun, for the wild winds, and for peace.
Oh, peace… precious peace. 🤍
Grief reminds us that death is not a goodbye, but the longest and hardest “see you later.”
It may be your 10th death anniversary, but it is also your 10th anniversary in Heaven.
Ten years without you here, yet somehow you are still woven into everything I am.
I love you here and there,
near and far,
in every memory, every tear, every quiet moment…
Leave and love you ~ always 💜💛🤍😢💔
