Carolyn’s 80th birthday celebrations actually began back in June, with a lovely family long weekend catch-up over brunch at the beautiful Rupertswood Gate House.
 

Some interstate family members were able to attend, and it was during this time that Julie, Carolyn’s daughter, reached out to me.  She explained that she wanted some natural family images captured, particularly as some family members wouldn’t be able to attend the actual 80th birthday celebrations.
 

So, I ventured back to the Gate House to capture some beautiful, natural family moments.  Then, in July, a few more family members wanted to have their images taken, so we continued capturing those special connections.
 

It meant that all of the family portraits were completed before Carolyn’s actual 80th birthday celebrations ~ something that worked beautifully, ensuring everyone who couldn’t attend the celebration could still be part of this special milestone.
 

Then August came around rather quickly, and I headed off to the gorgeous Wildwood Country Retreat to capture Carolyn surrounded by family and friends as they gathered together to celebrate 80 wonderful years.
 

There was plenty of love, laughter, connection and, of course, a few special moments along the way.
